Christian Education

The Board of Christian Education promises Christian learning and development through the organization and management of the Church School and its curriculum, Youth Fellowship, Confirmation, Adult Membership Orientation, Adult Bible Studies, Retreats and other educational, social, recreational and character-building programs.

• Spirit Club
  The Spirit Cluboffers a special time of learning for kids grade 1 through 6 during the morning worship time with music, crafts, worship lessons, and refreshments. The children seem to really enjoy the activities and the group seems to be growing with many new children coming from the area.



• Church School
  An exciting new program is being initiated in our Church School classes. A group has been working on the implementation of Workshop Rotation Model (WoRM).
  
  
  
  
  
  Members have been working on painting classrooms and the hallway with Bible scenes.
  
  Using this model, children are grouped by age and go together to a different workshop each week. The children learn about the same topic for a four week period, but each workshop teaches through a different style of learning. This way, the children don’t get bored and the repetition helps them remember the story and/or concept. Workshops might include arts and crafts, drama, music, games, A-V, puppets, cooking, and storytelling.



• Youth Group

• Confirmation Classes are held on Sunday mornings during the Church School hour.



• Adult Bible Study starting Rally Day, September 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room, we will read and discuss the book The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel. You are welcome to join!



• Lenten Retreat  This year's Lenten Retreat will be held at Our Lady of the Pines in Fremont, Ohio on Friday and Saturday, March 11 and 12.
