Our Gatherings

Our worship themes are not just sermons. They are integrated into the whole gathering experience: prayers, songs, table conversations, and more.

We understand that Breakfast Church is more of a “have to be there” kind of thing. So feel free to skip around on the video as you watch and listen.

FAQs

  • Breakfast Church is just what it sounds like. It’s “church” around the breakfast table. There is more conversation, connection with others, and…well…eating and drinking, but everything is still centered around the Gospel of Jesus.

  • “Eucharist” literally means “Thanksgiving” and has come to refer to eating bread and drinking wine in response to Jesus’ Last Supper, where Jesus “Gave thanks” before breaking and giving the bread. We want this to be the image of our whole beings: people who gratefully receive and generously give God’s blessings to others.

  • We meet in Point Place — Toledo. You can find us on the corner of 116th/117th St. and 297th St. If you know the Point Place Library, we’re right across the street from them. If not, we’re just a block west of Summit St. or take 116th from Ottawa River Rd.

  • We’re a small community that is a part of the United Church of Christ. We’re over 100 years old as a church, but we’re adaptable and flexible. We hope you’ll find us to be welcoming, simple—we don’t try to put on a perfect show, and really focused on Jesus and loving one another…just like he said.
